Crocker-to-Go



Let the Crocker come to you! Trained docents engage students in grades 3 – 6 with a one-hour interactive multimedia presentation of works from the Museum's permanent collection in your classroom. Students learn strategies for looking, reading, and thinking critically about a work of art. These visits are also a great way to introduce your class to the Museum before an in-person visit. To request a Crocker-to-Go visit, please email education@crockerart.org.

  • Up to 35 students per class
  • $60 per class, $30 for Title I schools
  • Six-week advance registration required

Native Narratives

3rd Grade
Geography as well as California, Indian Nations will be discussed through a selection of artwork from the Crocker's collection. Aligns with HSS standards 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3.

California Narratives
4th Grade
See how landscapes, portraits, genre scenes, and still lifes illustrate the unique history, terrain, and people of California, past and present. Aligns with HSS standards 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4.

American Narratives
5th Grade
Docents will introduce students to Central American artifacts, pottery from the Native North American Southwest, and artwork that illustrates the experience of settlers across North America. Aligned with HSS 5.1 and 5.8
