About the Program

Designed by the Crocker Art Museum to respond to the unique challenges teachers and students are facing, Teacher2Teacher is a professional development and peer networking program for California’s K-12 teachers grounded in arts integration. Ongoing activities are FREE for participants and include virtual arts resources for teachers and students; arts integration support workshops; livestreamed interactive gallery tours; access to California Content Standards-aligned curriculum materials; in-classroom modeling sessions; one-on-one creative coaching opportunities; and more!

Combining individualized and small group activities, Teacher2Teacher supports teachers in all aspects of their professional life – as leaders, learners, and professionals. Within a collaborative learning network, teachers in the program can expect to increase their skills, knowledge, and abilities in arts integration, strengthening their ability to discuss, teach, and do art in the classroom while supporting classroom learning across the curriculum.

Teacher2Teacher is offered through Crocker Art Museum’s School + Teacher Programs, a leading-provider of arts education in the greater-Sacramento area.

About Arts Integration

Participants

Fifty (50) Title 1 teachers will be selected to participate in 2021 – 2022.

Cost

Teacher2Teacher is free for participants thanks to generous support from Kingsley Art Club, Kelly Foundation, and Teichert Foundation.
