e Crocker Art Museum’s annual ball is the premier social and fundraising event of the Capital region. Held on the first Saturday in December for more than a half century, this black-tie affair is attended by Sacramento’s business and civic leaders and philanthropists, all in support of the Museum's mission to promote an awareness of and enthusiasm for human experience through art. Funds raised help make art accessible to everyone in the community, including visitors with visual, auditory, physical, and learning or developmental differences, and sustain programs for youth, families, and school children.
These seven extraordinary auction items will be up for bid at the 57th annual Crocker Ball. If you are interested in making an absentee bid, please click HERE to download our bid form. To allow time for processing, all bids must be received by 5 PM (PST) on Thursday, November 29. Bid(s)

Gregory Kondos One-of-a-Kind Monotype
Over the course of his career, Gregory Kondos (born 1923) has painted scenes of Greece, France, and the American Southwest, but he continues to find his greatest and most enduring inspiration in the richly varied landscape of California. Back Country (26 x 22 in.) depicts one of Kondos’s most beloved places to paint: Yosemite National Park. During the artist’s time visiting Yosemite, he hiked to sublime spots and captured scenic vistas in charcoal sketches and small oils that inspired larger works. Some studies inspired monotypes like this one, a process that involves painting on a metal plate and then printing it once. There are few remaining, as the artist no longer produces them.
