This summer, the Crocker Art Museum is pleased to invite US military personnel and their families to enjoy free admission.
This invitation comes as part of the Crocker's participation in the Blue Star Museums program, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, The Department of Defense, and participating museums across the nation. This year, more than 2,000 museums throughout the U.S., the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa are taking part in the initiative. The participating museums represent the fine arts, science, history, Native centers, children's museums, and more.
The free admission program is available from Memorial Day (May 29, 2017) through Labor Day (September 4, 2017) to any bearer of a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card. This includes active duty military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), National Guard and Reserve members, and up to five immediate family members. Veterans no longer active are also welcome, with corresponding ID.
