Married 47 years and counting, Suzanne Adan and Michael Stevens have produced an art installation that is humorous, whimsical, and layered with nostalgic overtones inspired by the couple's collection of vintage toys. Mike’s folk art craftsmanship and Suzanne’s engaging texture-infused painting style invite you to explore, imagine, and most of all play.
Funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and First 5 Sacramento, the Crocker’s experimental Art Spots program involves a series of five experiential art installations designed for children age 5 and younger and their caregivers.
Each Art Spot is created by a different artist or team after participating in the Crocker’s ongoing early childhood programming to gain a thorough understanding of children’s developmental needs and interests.
The artists would like to thank Terry Peterson, Ellie Cary, Scott Howe, Dennis Newhall, and Anna Feliciano.
